Rivals thrash two accused in TT Singh court
TOBA TEK SINGH: Two people were badly tortured by their rivals in police custody on the court premises in Gojra where they were brought to appear before a magistrate on Tuesday.
Reports said Sajjad and Niaz, both residents of Janniwal village, facing charges of attempted murder, were attacked by their rivals when they were being brought out of a courtroom after appearing before a judicial magistrate.
The attackers, Mukhtar and his four unidentified accomplices, who belonged to the same village, subjected the two handcuffed accused to severe torture. They also injured two other accused in the case – Ilyas and Niaz – who were on bail. Gojra city police arrested Mukhtar and registered a case against him and his accomplices.
