Man shot dead in Manki village
SWABI: Exchange of fire between two parties over a piece of land claimed life of a man and injured three others on Thursday, police said. Officials said the incident occurred in Manki village of Chota Lahor. The two parties took positions against each other and exchanged heavy fire which continued for about an hour. The victim was identified as Sajjad Khan and the injured were shifted to Shahmansoor Hospital Complex.
Meanwhile, the JUI-F handed over cheques of Rs1.45 million to the 29 people who were injured in a suicide attack on the convoy of Maulana Fazlur Rehman near the Swabi interchange on March 30. A function in this connection was held which was presided over by former provincial education minister Maulana Fazal Ali on Thursday.
