Two people shot dead in Kalat
QUETTA: Two people were killed when unidentified men opened fire on them in the Panja area of Kalat district on Thursday, around 145 kilometres from the provincial capital. According to sources, unidentified people opened fire at two men in Panja, Kalat district, and fled the scene.
As a result, both victims were critically injured and died on the spot. Locals took the deceased to a nearby hospital for autopsy, where they were identified as Muhammad Yaqoob and Saifullah. The victims belonged to the Mengal tribe and official sources termed the incident as an outcome of tribal enmity. Later, the bodies were handed over to the respective families. They relatives of the victim’s blocked the RCD Highway for several hours to protest against the killings. However, they called of their strike after the district administration assured them that the culprits would be arrested soon.
