7 Hizbut Tahrir activists held in Karachi rally
KARACHI: Police detained seven activists of a banned outfit, Hizbut Tahrir when scores of activists thronged the Regal Chowk, for protesting against the Government of Pakistan and America.
According to reports, scores of protesters gathered at the Empress Market and marched towards the Regal Chowk where Police intercepted them and used teargas and water canons to disperse the protesters.
In a skirmish that continued for hours, police apprehended seven activists of the banned outfit. Protesters continued chanting slogans against the Pakistan government and America and also demanded the implementation of Shariat law.
