SHO police station Daggar Mohammad Irshad Khan said the action was taken on a tip-off in a village in Daggar where an alleged smuggler was loading 400 tins of food oil meant for children to improve enrollment in schools in backward areas.
The police said the pick-up (Dir-5275) along with oil was seized, adding Gul Rawan, Riaz Mohammad, Jan Mohammad of Chinglai Village and Islam Bahadur of Daggar Village were arrested. He stated involvement of influential figures behind the bid could not be ruled out.
