Crossfire over land dispute claims life in Lahore
LAHORE: A 30-year-old man was killed and five others were injured on Wednesday after two rival groups traded fire over a property dispute in Green Town, police said. Haji Younas, of Gulshan Colony, and his sons exchanged words with Javed Virk and his men at a disputed plot which led to crossfire.
The firing left Javed and his fellows Nadeem and Saleem injured while Younas and his two accomplices Adeel and Zain Tauqeer also suffered wounds. Later, Nadeem succumbed to his wounds at Jinnah Hospital.
Younas alleged that Javed and his men had erected boundary wall on his plot with the connivance of Green Town police. Police, however, refuted the allegation.
