Boy killed in landmine blast in Naseerabad
QUETTA: A 12-year-old boy was killed in a landmine blast in the precincts of Sadar Levies police station on Thursday. A levies official told this scribe that the boy, Mahwar, was killed when he stepped on a landmine in the Rabi Canal area of the Naseerabad district. Levis rushed to the site and handed over the body to the heirs after legal formalities.
Meanwhile, two fishermen were injured in a landmine explosion in Jaffarabad district on Thursday. The victims were going to Dera Bugti from Jaffarabad on a motorbike when they stumbled upon a landmine placed along the road within the limits of Doda Tiba police station. Police shifted the injured to a nearby hospital, where they were identified as Gulam Nabi and Muhammad Ali, residents of Kandkot area in Sindh.
