Man shot dead in Quetta
QUETTA: A property dealer was shot dead in Balochi Street area of the provincial capital on Thursday night. Police and eyewitnesses said unidentified assailants riding a motorbike sprayed bullets on the victim, Arshid Kurd, who was sitting at his shop. The assailants escaped from the scene after the shooting. The dead body was taken to hospital for autopsy. The police said it was yet to determine the motive of the murder.
Meanwhile, unidentified terrorists blew up a 4-inch diameter gas pipeline near Eastern Bypass in Quetta, causing suspension of the gas supply to Rind Garh locality. The police said explosive material was attached to the pipeline which destroyed the pipeline. Police cordoned off the area after the blast. The gas supply to the locality was restored after SSGC team repaired the damaged pipeline while police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
