7 Hizbut Tahrir activists jailed in Karachi
KARACHI: The administrative judge of the anti-terrorism courts of Karachi on Monday remanded seven activists of the proscribed Hizbut Tahrir in jail custody for holding an anti-government rally.
Police detained the activists of the banned organisation from the Regal intersection on April 18 when they were holding a protest rally against the government.
Following the expiry of their physical remand the police produced the suspects before administrative judge Justice Maqbool Baqar of the Sindh High Court on Monday.
The court sent the suspects to prison on judicial remand till April 29 and directed the investigation officer to submit a charge-sheet on next hearing.
