5 car snatchers arrested in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested five persons involved in car snatching, theft of vehicles and recovered three vehicles from their possession, a police spokesman said here Sunday.

Station House Officer Shehzad Town Police Station Inspector Raja Tahir Hussain was on patrolling along with his team when they observed a car thief near Zia Masjid trying to drive away a car (RIP-5643).

 



They succeeded to arrest him and recover the car while his other accomplice managed to escape from the scene. The nabbed person has been identified as Muhammad Sajid s/o Tahir Khan resident of Parhoti Mardan while police team has been constituted to ensure earliest arrest of escaped accomplice of car thief.
