Woman, man found shot dead in Karachi
Karachi: A young woman was found shot dead near the Malir River on Tuesday, police said. The police said that the victim, who appears to be in her late twenties, was killed at least three to four days ago and the body was beyond recognition.
“She was wearing a burqa and also had footwear,” said Sub-Inspector Ejaz Lodhi, the officer in charge of the Khuldabad police post of the Shah Latif Town police station. “A single bullet wound was found around her waist. The victim has not yet been identified.” The bullet-riddled body of a young man was found in Gulistan-i-Jauhar’s block 2 on Tuesday.
“The victim was wearing black trousers and a shirt,” said an official at the Gulistan-i-Jauhar police station. “The body was found in the bushes near an apartment in block 2. The body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities, from where it was moved to the Edhi morgue in Sohrab Goth for want of identification.” The police said that the victim sustained a single bullet wound in the head.
