KARACHI: Sindh police and its Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Wednesday claimed to have arrested five alleged target killers from various parts of the city.
According to details, a CID police team raided a house in Mauripur and arrested one target killer, Bakht Chandio. SSP Fayyaz Khan claimed that a TT pistol and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of the accused.
Separately, Liaquatabad Town police raided C-1 area in its premises and arrested two target killers allegedly involved in killing of the younger brother of SHO Super Market Police Station Shafiq Tanoli.
“The arrested killers were identified as Irfan alias Iffy and Junaid alias Kala,” said Tanoli. The officer said the accused also confessed that they had killed Naveed Tanoli because Shafiq Tanoli exposed the killers of a private TV channel reporter.
Similarly, Orangi Town police also arrested a target killer from Pirabad area who was allegedly involved in more than 10 murders.
Meanwhile, Mochko police have arrested an accused Wakeel Khan alias Wakeela and recovered a TT pistol from his possession. The police claimed that he was involved in the murder of a police constable Abid in January 2008 at Mochko area.
