KARACHI: In the Liaquatabad area, a 37-year-old man was killed and another person wounded in firing by two attackers riding a motorcycle. The police remained clueless about a motive behind the attack or the killers.
“A few minutes before sunset, two men wearing helmets and riding a motorbike stopped near a shop, where Haider Ali was busy shopping,” said SP Naveed Khawaja of Liaquatabad Town. “One of the riders got off the motorbike, targeted Haider and fired several shots. One of the bullets hit Haider in the neck and another hit a man, later identified as Kashif, present inside the shop.” The SP said the deceased victim was a resident of Yousuf Plaza in Federal B Area.
