Karachi: Burglars flee with 500 grammes of gold
KARACHI: Two armed burglars whisked away with 500 grammes of gold worth more than Rs 6.2 million in the wee hours of Wednesday within the remits of Kharadar police station. The robbery took place at a gold-workshop located at Yousuf Manzil, Kundan Street Sarafa Bazaar.
According to details, two unknown robbers barged into the workshop of Muhammad Yaseen and burgled around 500 grammes of gold worth over Rs 6.2 million. SHO Ghulam Nabi Afridi said the robbers, who came to the workshop during load shedding, held two goldsmiths hostage and looted 500 grammes of yellow metal. The bandits managed to flee after their swift operation under the cover of darkness. Police have registered a case (194/11) against unknown bandits on the complaint of workshop owner Yaseen and initiated the probe.
