Karachi: 70-year-old man shot dead
KARACHI: A 70-year-old man, Gulistan Khan, was gunned down alleged by his brother-in-law in the early hours of Saturday, police said. They said the murder seemed to be the result of a family dispute.
“According to the victim’s family, Gulistan Khan recently married Sabiha Bibi despite resistance by his first wife and her brothers,” said an official at the Docks police station. “The dispute was said to be the cause of several heated arguments between the two sides in recent weeks. On Saturday, Gul Wahid, a brother of the victim’s first wife, along with one of his friends, Mian Khan, came to meet him. They talked to Gulistan Khan for some time and then Gul Wahid pulled out a pistol and fired several shots at Gulistan Khan. He then fled the scene with the friend.”
