Lahore: 6 killed in different incidents across city
LAHORE: At least six people, including a young girl, were killed in different incidents across the metropolis on Sunday. According to details, a 40-year-old man was clubbed to death by three persons in the limits of Defence-A police. The victim, identified as Safdar, resident of Khana, was a servant at Malik Ijaz’s house, at 513-A State Life Housing Society, Defence.
According to police, Malik Ijaz’s son, Sarbuland, and his daughter, Qainat, were on their way home when three bike riders, identified as Zeeshan, Azhar Rehman and Zaigham Abbas, intercepted their car and started teasing them.
In another incident, a man killed his 20-year-old daughter in the limits of Shalimar police when she refused to marry a man of her father’s choice. The victim was identified as Gul Afsha, daughter of Muhammad Asghar, resident of Bogiwal.
Separately, a 40 year-old-man was shot dead by three persons over old enmity in the jurisdiction of Shadbagh police. The deceased was identified as Malik Nadeem, a resident of the same locality. Police said that the accused persons, identified as Atif, Mani and Shani, had nursed a grudge against the victim over an old enmity. Police shifted the dead body to a morgue for autopsy. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, a body of a 20-year-old unidentified youth was recovered from the limits of the Shahdara Town police Also, the Lower Mall and Naulakha police recovered two unidentified dead bodies from their limits.
One of the victims was found dead near Data Darbar’s Gate No 5 while the other was found near the railway station. Some locals had spotted the bodies and had informed police. Police suspects that both the men were drug addicts who died from excessive use of drugs.
