Lahore: Bail extended in Tipu murder case
LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Monday extended till May 21 the interim bail of Malik Ahsan in Tipu Truckanwala murder case.
The accused through his counsel had sought extension in his interim bail. Binyameen and Aftab alias Papu, the plaintiffs were also present in court during the hearing. Malik Ahsan hurled life threats on them. Resultantly, the judge directed Mustafaabad police SHO to take legal action against the accused.
However, the court has already sentenced Khurrum Butt to death along with a fine killing Arif Amir alias Tipu Truckanwala. Armed assailants had opened at Tipu Truckanwala in the parking lot of Allama Iqbal International Airport.
He succumbed to bullet injuries and died in a hospital after some days. As Sarwar Road police had registered a case against Khurram Butt, Khawaja Aqeel alias Gogi Butt, Malik Ahsan and four others on the complaint of Sultan Mahmood under sections 7ATA/ 324/148/149 PPC. Later, section 302 of PPC was also added to the FIR after Tipu’s death.
