Rawalpindi: Man found hanging from ceiling fan
RAWALPINDI: A body was found hanging by a rope tied to the ceiling fan in a private employment exchange office located in Satellite Town on Wednesday, police sources said.
The New Town police said that the preliminary investigation suggested that it was a suicide case. However, the family of the victim, Tajarat Hussain, termed it a murder and accused one Imran and his accomplices of the killing.
Sub-Inspector Mohammad Zulfiqar, who is leading the investigation into the mysterious killing, said that they found the body hanging by a rope in the office when they arrived there.
While explaining the circumstances behind the incident, SI Zulfiqar said Tajarat Hussain had sold a car to one Imran a few months ago.
Later, the first owner of the car seized the vehicle as its installments were not being paid as was agreed by Tajarat Hussain. Since then Imran had been forcing him either to return his money or give him the vehicle.
On Tuesday, Tajarat Hussain, who belonged to Gujar Khan, was called by Imran to settle the dispute but he did not return home.
Police suspected that he might have killed himself after failing to settle the dispute. Basharat Hussain, son of the victim, dismissed the police theory that his father had committed suicide. He believed that his father was murdered by Imran and others.
