KARACHI, May 12: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of the Sindh police on Thursday claimed to have arrested four members of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan including a student of the University of Karachi.

“The arrested persons were associated with the TTP`s Badar Mansoor Group,” capital city police officer (CCPO) Saud Mirza told a press conference at the anti-extremist cell (AEC) of the CID.
“They were planning to attack government buildings and senior officials of the law-enforcement agencies. Some of their aides managed to escape during the encounter.”
