Taxila: Dacoits have a field day
TAXILA: The dacoits have a field day in Wah Cantonment as five incidents of theft and robbery have occurred in the area and the people have been deprived of cash and valuables worth millions of rupees.
In the first incident, five armed men entered into the house of Umer Gull, a senior Wapda official in Satellite Town and held the inmates hostage on gunpoint. Later, they locked the family in a room and took away a gun, a pistol, cash, 20-tola gold ornaments and other valuables.
In the second incident, Syed Nazeer Hussain and his family were looted in Officers’ Colony when they were going in a car. Two young men riding a motorcycle intercepted the car and on pistol point snatched cash, mobile phones and gold ornaments from them.
In the third incident in the same locality, two young men deprived Ms Sabtain of gold ornaments in a broad daylight robbery when she was returning home from the nearby school.
Meanwhile, two general stores namely Pakistan General Store on Qabiristan Road and Jameel General Store on Munir Road were looted by armed dacoits.
