Nato oil tanker attacked in Nowshera
NOWSHERA: The militants attacked an oil tanker transporting fuel to the Nato troops in Afghanistan near Nowshera bypass in Khat Killay on Tuesday, sources said. Driver Muhammad Umar told the reporters that he was transporting 50,000 litres fuel in his tanker (TST-634) to Afghanistan from Karachi when militants fired rocket at his vehicle near Khat Killay.
“I did not stop the vehicle and sped away when the rocket hit the vehicle,” the driver said. Meanwhile, District Police Officer Muhammad Quresh said the driver of the vehicle had been arrested. He said it was not a rocket attack but explosive device had been planted by the militants with the vehicle.
