Gujranwala: 4 terrorists held, explosives recovered
GUJRANWALA: The police arrested four terrorists from a seminary after an encounter and recovered a huge quantity of weapons, including explosives and ball bearings on Wednesday.
On a tip-off, the police raided Jamia Hafza Al-Binat on Tatle Aali-Noshera Virkan Road. The terrorists opened fire on the police, which was retaliated. Later, the police stormed into the seminary and overpowered terrorists who were identified as Hafiz Bilal, Osama, Akram and Khalid. They have been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
Addressing a press conference, CPO Ghulam Mahmood Dogar said that the terrorists belonged to the Sipah-e-Sahaba, Jaish-e-Muhammad, the Harkatul Ansar and the Harkatul Mujahuddin.
He said that terrorists had concealed explosive material in pressure cookers. He said that the terrorists were wanted in several cases. He announced cash prizes for the raiding party.
