KRC member killed in Karachi
Karachi: Two people, including a member of the Kutchi Rabita Committee (KRC), were killed in separate incidents in the city on Wednesday.
Four men on two motorcycles opened fire on Shahid Jutt when he was with his friends in Gali 7 of Bihar Colony in Chakiwara early on Wednesday morning, injuring him and two passersby, Abdul Razzaq, and a four-year-old boy, Asim, and fled. The injured were rushed to a hospital where Shahid Jutt was pronounced dead.
The deceased had received multiple bullet wounds. Police said that Jutt had been an active member of the Kutchi Rabita Committee and was earlier attached with the Ghaffar Zikri group.
In a separate case, a mobile of Mobina Town police recovered a bullet-riddled body of an unidentified man, presumed to be in his mid-thirties, on Wednesday morning from near the Silver Jubilee Gate of the University of Karachi, and shifted it to a hospital.
The police surmised that some unidentified criminals had kidnapped the victim, shot him dead and threw his body in the area. The deceased had received three bullet wounds.
