Lahore: ‘Kidnappers’ killed in encounter
LAHORE: CIA Kotwali Police killed two kidnappers in an alleged encounter in Misri Shah Police area on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Javed alias Pandi, 25, son of Bashir Ahmad of Shahdra, and Ramzan, 24, son of Mohammad Bashir. Police said both the accused were wanted by the police in murder and an abduction cases. Police said that Javed and Bashir had abducted a 14 years old boy, Hamza, a few days back and demanded ransom for his release. Though the boy’s family had agreed to pay the ransom, the kidnappers killed the boy and threw his body in a field in Shahdara Town.
Police said that both the kidnappers were on their way on a bike when a police party intercepted them near Domoria Pul. They opened fire on police who also retaliated in the same fashion. As a result, both accused died on the spot. Police further claimed to have arrested two more kidnappers involved in the said case.
