Lahore: Constable killed by nephews
LAHORE: A police constable was shot dead allegedly by his maternal nephews following a jewellery dispute in Qasim Ground of Garhi Shaho on Thursday. Police inquiries showed that 42-year-old Abdur Razzaq, who was posted at the Qilla Gujjar Singh Police Lines, was shot at and wounded by his nephews Mehmood and Farooq and their unidentified accomplice after exchanging hot words.
The suspects, residents of Shakargarh, entered the victim`s house on late Wednesday. Razzaq had earlier alleged that the sister of Mehmood and Farooq had stolen gold locket of his wife Iqbal Bibi.
Razzaq succumbed to his injuries at Mayo Hospital. Police have shifted the body for autopsy and registered a case on the complaint of Iqbal Bibi.
