Islamabad: 285 bottles of liquor recovered
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have arrested 11 men from various areas of the city recovering 285 bottles of liquor, 1.250 kilograms of heroin, 6.60 kilograms of hashish and eight cans of beer from their possession.
On a tip-off, the Shehzad Town Police Station foiled a bid of transfer of wine from Rawalpindi to Islamabad in a car. The team stopped a car RLA-3490 near Zia Masjid and overpowered one car occupant Taaruf while two others later identified as Sarwar and Bhatti managed to escape. A total of 250 bottles of wine were recovered from the car.
The CIA Police nabbed Shaukat Mehmud and Hafeezullah after recovery of 30 bottles of liquor from their possession. The Kohsar Police apprehended Nazar Muhammad for having five bottles of liquor.
The Sabzi Mandi Police Station arrested Tauqeer for having eight cans of beer while Tarnol Police Station nabbed Ishaq Maseeh and Muhammad Afzal for having five kilograms of hashish.
The CIA Police arrested Abdul Majeed for having 150 grams of hashish while the Golra Police Station arrested Nazeer for having 250 grams of heroin. Haji Gul and Syed Tanveer were arrested by police for having 910 grams of hashish.
