Lahore: Boy killed over mango picking
LAHORE: An eight-year-old boy was shot dead by a security guard over mango picking near Salli Town in the Ghaziabad police jurisdiction on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Ali, a resident of Ghaziabad. He went to a mango orchard at Salli Town, owned by one Ali of the same area, along with his seven friends.
They were eating mangoes in the orchard when a security guard of the orchard, Naser Ahmed, approached them. He opened fire in the air to make the boys run from the orchard. As the victim boy was hiding himself at a mango tree, one of the bullets hit him. Edhi ambulance rushed him to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. Police have removed the body to morgue and arrested the accused security guard who had confessed to opening the fire. A case has been registered against him under section 302 of PPC.
