Karachi: Man confesses to friend’s murder
Karachi: A man confessed to the cold-blooded murder of his friend after which the judicial magistrate central ordered on Tuesday the exhumation of the deceased’s body on Wednesday (today) for an autopsy.
During interrogation, Sir Syed Town police learnt that Habib stabbed Muhammad Ajmal to death after a heated argument and buried the body in the Christian Graveyard near the Shah Muhammad Graveyard.
Habib disclosed that his friend was a gravedigger like himself and accused Ajmal of having an affair with his wife. He added that he went into a blind rage after quarreling with his friend and killed him.
Following the confession, police officials had requested the judicial magistrate for permission to retrieve Ajmal’s body to ascertain the cause of death.
The judicial magistrate district central sixth, Maqbool Memon, appointed a special board to conduct a post-mortem examination in his presence today.
