2 shot dead in Balochistan
QUETTA: Two persons, including a Balochistan Levies official, were shot dead in separate incidents of firing in Mastung and Kech districts on Wednesday.
According to levies officials, Balochistan Levies official Muhammad Akram was on his way to levies station from Mastung city when armed men, riding a motorcycle, sprayed him with bullets. He received multiple bullet injuries on his upper torso and died on the spot while the assailants managed to escape from the scene. Levies personnel reached the site of the incident in large numbers and shifted the dead body to the District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy. Levies also launched a manhunt for the culprits in the area. However, no arrest was reported till the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, a man, identified as Abdul Ghafoor, was gunned down in Mand area of Kech district when assailants, on a motorbike, opened fire at him. Motive behind the murder could not be ascertained immediately. However, a case has been registered and investigation is underway.
