Karachi: 2 gunned down in city
Karachi: Two people were gunned down in two different places on Sunday. Essa Khan, 52, received bullet wounds when his son-in-law came to his Liaquatabad residence in F.C Area in Super Market police limits and after an exchange hot words whipped out his handgun and opened fire at him.
After hearing the gunshots, his family members rushed to the spot and saw him in an injured condition. They immediately took him to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. However, he breathed his last on the way to the hospital.
According to the police, the deceased belonged to Swat and this murder was due to some personal enmity.
Noor Mustafa, 38, a watchman, was shot dead, when two armed men riding a motorcycle opened fire at him in an empty plot in North Nazimabad, Block-N, in Tamuria police jurisdiction, while he was on duty.
After the incident, the area people rushed to the spot and immediately informed the police. The mobile van of said police station reached the spot and shifted his body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities.
According to the police that deceased was belongs from Swat and they think this murder resulted from an old enmity. Meanwhile, the body of Naseem Bano, 70, with skull wounds was found in her flat in Sharifabad police limits on Sunday.
Her son came to the residence and knocked at the door. On failing to receive a reply, he immediately called his neighbours, who broke open the door and saw her body.
They informed the police and took her body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities. According to the police deceased had a fall and her skull hit the corner of the bed. However, police did not preclude murder.
