Lahore: Father of five commits suicide over poverty
LAHORE: Two people, including a woman, committed suicide in separate incidents in the provincial metropolis on Saturday. Nighat Bibi, 26, a resident of Shahpur Kanjaran, left the house of her husband, Khalil, over unknown domestic issues and started living with her parents. On the day of the incident, her family members forced her for reconciliation with her husband and go to his house but she refused to do so. Later, she locked herself up in a room and took poisonous pills. As result, her condition went critical. She was rushed to hospital where doctors pronounced her death.
In another incident, a father of five children ended his life by hanging himself with a rope in the Shadbagh police area. The deceased was identified as M Ahmed, 38, a resident of Bhagatpura.
Police said he was disturbed over poor financial conditions as he was unable to run his house. He locked himself up in a room and hanged himself to death.
