Man murdered in South Cantt area
LAHORE: A man was killed by three unidentified persons in his home in the South Cantt police area on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Peer Ali, 50, a resident of Nishat Colony. Police said he was a retired employee of an insurance company.
On the day of the incident he was in his home along with his wife, three daughters and two sons when three unidentified men barged into his house.
Peer Ali offered resistance to them, upon which, they stabbed him to death and escaped from the scene. Police have removed the body to morgue and registered a murder case against the unknown killers on the complaint of the deceased’s brother Allah Ditta.
North Cantonment SHO Rana Asghar Ali said that the incident could not be considered as a result of dacoity bid. He said the deceased had an old enmity with his relatives living in Tandlianwala. He said the brother of the deceased had requested them to nominate the accused at a later stage. He said they would soon solve the mystery.
