Charsadda: Man killed in crossfire
CHARSADDA: A passer-by was killed in a fire exchange between a policeman and an alleged outlaw near Municipal Park here on Wednesday. According to eyewitnesses, Hamid Ali, a poor labourer, was caught in the fire exchange between ASI Fazlullah and an alleged outlaw, Alamzeb. They said that Mr Ali died on the spot after receiving bullet injuries.
The ASI has lodged a report with the Charsadda police station, stating that while on duty near the park he spotted Alamzeb, who was armed, and asked him to surrender. Mr Fazlullah claimed that Alamzeb instead ran away and opened firing when he started to chase him. The ASI claimed that Mr Ali was killed in indiscriminate firing by the outlaw.
