Four activists of banned outfit remanded in CID custody
Karachi: Four suspected activists of a banned outfit involved in sectarian killings in the city were remanded on Wednesday in the custody of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) till June 4. All the four — Munawar Alam alias Bilal, Mohammad Shahid, Mohammad Ali and Talat — were produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate (West) Ghulam Rasool Jutt with their faces covered.
They were arrested by the CID police after an encounter near Lucky Pahari on Hub River Road in the Mauripur police limits. They were wanted in sectarian killings and kidnapping for ransom cases. The police recovered two AK-47 assault rifles, a .222 rifle, a TT pistol and a snatched car.
