Karachi: Mother of two, jobless man commit suicide
Karachi: A mother of two children and a jobless man committed suicide on Wednesday, police said. Saima, 25, wife of Muhammad Yousuf, locked herself in a room of her Orangi Town residence and consumed some poisonous substance after an exchange of hot words with her husband.
After her husband knocked at the door and did not get a response, he broke open the door and found her unconscious. He immediately took her to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where she died.
Sajjid Nari, 26, after a quarrel with his parents, locked himself in a room of his residence in Akhter Colony and hanged himself to death from a ceiling fan.
When his mother called him for lunch and knocked the door, she got no response. She immediately called her neighbours, who broke the door open and saw Nari’s body.
Police later shifted his body to the JPMC for legal formalities. According to the police, the man had been jobless and, after an exchange hot words with his parents, he ended his own life.
