Karachi: Police claim to arrest two women in fraud case
KARACHI: Mehmoodabad police Wednesday claimed to have arrested two women in a money fraud case in the name of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
The police said that the women, posing themselves from BISP, arrived in Azam Basti and asked people to give Rs 5,000 and in return they would get Rs 25,000. After getting information, police rushed to the scene and demanded their identity cards but they could not provide their original identity cards. Police arrested them and registered an FIR (208/11) on the complaint of Khalid Rahim and initiated a probe into the case.
