Peshawar: Police kill ‘attacker’
PESHAWAR: Police on Thursday shot dead a man after he allegedly opened fire on a patrol party in the limits of Tekhal police station. A policeman also sustained injuries in the crossfire, police said. An official of the Tehkal police station said riders’ squad personnel were on routine patrol in the Gulai Baba area near Ghundai refugee camp that a man armed with pistol opened fire on them.
The fire, he said, caused injuries to policeman, Hameed Khan. However, the deceased could not be identified till filing of this report. The body and the injured policeman were shifted to hospital.
