Lahore: Murder, robbery accused flees police station
LAHORE: An accused in murder, dacoity and other heinous crimes managed to escape from Shahdara Town police station on Sunday. Sources said two police officers ASI Ashraf and Constable Abdul Rehman brought accused Tanvir alias Naveed from Camp Jail to the police station under legal procedure and made him sit in their room in the police station.
“In fact both officials have provided the accused ample chance to flee and he fled by scaling the wall when over three dozen policemen were present inside the police station,” they added. The police officers chased him but to no avail. An FIR has been lodged against Ashraf and Abdul Rehman. The accused officers have also been arrested.
