Islamabad: Nine ‘drug pushers’ arrested
ISLAMABAD: Police have arrested nine persons including two lady drug pushers from various areas of the city and recovered a total of 4 kilogram hashish, 640 gram heroin, wine bottles and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Monday.
Sub-Inspector Nusrat Ali nabbed a woman Shah Jehan during routine patrolling in its area at `Pind Paracha’ and recovered two kilogram hashish from her. On a tip off, he also arrested Zubaida Bibi from the same area for having 2-kilogram hashish. Sub-Inspector Muhammad Aslam arrested an accused Zahir Khan from Golra area and recovered 530 gram heroin from him while Sub-Inspector Arshad Ali from Shehzad town police station arrested Majid Masih from Iqbal town and recovered 110 gram heroin from him.
ASI Muhammad Nawaz from Shehzad town police apprehended a bootlegger Akbar and recovered two wine bottles from him. Shehzad town police arrested Basharat Masih for having 30 bore pistol while Sabzi Mandi police nabbed Abdul Latif and Raheel Ahmed for having two 12 bore carbines. Shalimar police also arrested an accused Maaz for having 30 bore pistol.
