Karachi: Man’s butchered remains found in graveyard
KARACHI: The decomposing body of an unidentified man was discovered in a graveyard in Baldia Town on Wednesday. Three other bodies were also found in parts of the city.
The remains of a 35-year-old man were found severed in seven pieces by a gravedigger inside the Baldia Town Graveyard. After the police were alerted, a mobile unit shifted the corpse to the Civil Hospital.
The MLO confirmed that the body was at least a day old and was missing internal organs. Baldia Town police believe that the man was first kidnapped and then murdered before his butchered remains were dumped.
The body of a 28-year-old unidentified man was found near Faqeer Muhammad Durra Khan Road in the Napier police limits.
Area people saw the corpse with hands and legs tied and informed the police. A police mobile van shifted the body to the Civil Hospital. The MLO of the hospital said there were marks of torture and multiple bullet wounds on the body.
An eyewitness told the police that some people riding a car dumped the body and fled. According to the police, the man was killed after his abduction.
The bullet-riddled body of a 22-year-old man, whose identity could not be ascertained immediately, was found in the bushes near Muhammad Khan Goth in Sohrab Goth.
Some passers-by saw the body and informed the police, who shifted it to the Jinnah Post-Graduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for a post-mortem.
The MLO of the hospital said that there were some stab wounds and two bullets holes in the body. According to the police, unidentified people first kidnapped him and, after killing him at an unknown place, dumped the body in their police limits.
Yet another bullet-riddled body was found near Malir in the Al-Falah police area. The victim was a 25-year-old unknown man.
Some passers-by saw the body and informed the police, who carried it to the JPMC for an autopsy.
