Lahore: Police recovers four motorbikes, weapons
LAHORE: Misri Shah Investigation Police, on Wednesday, arrested two bike lifters belonging to the Javed alias Jeeda bike lifter gang and recovered four motorbikes as well as illegal weapons from their possession.
According to details, on the directive of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Ahmad Raza Tahir, DIG (Investigation) Ali Aamir Malik and SSP (Investigation) Abdul Razzaq Cheema directed City SP (Investigation) Ahmed Nawaz Cheema to take effective measures against motorcycle lifter gangs. Cheema constituted a special team under the supervision of Misri Shah Circle DSP Qaisar Mushtaq, and also included Misri Shah Investigation Incharge Inspector Muhammad Akram and other police officials.
The arrested criminals had a vast history of crimes and 10 cases had already been registered against them in Misri Shah, Gujjarpura, Islampura, Ghaziabad, Civil Lines and Baghbanpura police stations. Police recovered four motorcycles, one pump-action gun, one pistol and bullets from their possession. The arrested culprits were identified as ringleader Javed Aslam and Muhammad Shahbaz. A special team had also been constituted for the arrest of remaining culprits who are still roaming free.
