Islamabad: Man killed over property
ISLAMABAD: A villager was gunned down allegedly by his former business partner over a property dispute in the capital’s rural area early Thursday, police said. Aftab Khan, 40, a native of village Chirah, in the limits of Nilor police station, came to a gathering of poets during a marriage ceremony in the village at around 3:30am where he exchanged hot words with his former partner, Waris Sarwar.
This led to a scuffle during which Waris shot him and escaped. The injured was shifted to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The police said Aftab and Waris operated a property consultancy office in Chirah. However, they developed a dispute over the ownership of the shop in which the consultancy office was set up.
