2 bodies found in Moosa Lane area
KARACHI: Bullet-riddled bodies of two youths were found in the Moosa Lane area of Lyari Town on Sunday. The victims remained unidentified till late in the night, officials said. They said the bodies with torture marks and bullet wounds were found lying on road near Bhitai Hall. They said both the victims appeared to be in their mid-20s were shot in the chest and head.
“Area people could not recognize them which suggested that the victims were not the residents of this locality. After medico-legal formalities at the Civil Hospital, the bodies have been shifted to the Edhi morgue,” an official at the Baghdadi police station said.
Meanwhile, a young man was gunned down in North Karachi on Sunday. The area police said that the victim, 35-year-old Ayaz Ahmed, was a resident of Gulshan-i-Iqbal and had came to meet someone in Sector 11-A of North Karachi.
“Witnesses said that the victim was having a chat with his friends at a roadside barbeque outlet and they were joined by two other persons, who had arrived in a car,” said an official at the Sir Syed police station. “A few minutes later, one of them pulled out a pistol and fired at Ayaz pumping four bullets in his body. The victim died on the spot.”
The attacker along with his friends escaped from the scene. The official said the incident seemed to be a result of some personal enmity.
