2 women among seven killed in Balochistan
QUETTA: Seven people, including two women, were killed in separate incidents of violence in Balochistan on Saturday. Police said unknown armed men opened fire on a clinic in Goth Ghulam Rasool Bangulzai of Dera Murad Jamali and fled.
Resultantly, four people, who were present inside the clinic, were killed instantly. The dead were identified as Dr Nazar Mohammad, Niaz Ahmed and two women — Zar bibi and Jannat bibi. Later, the police raided a place and detained four accused — Nasarullah, Kamal Khan, Mohammad Rafique and Ahmed Ali — and recovered weapons from their possession.
The bodies were handed over to the heirs after fulfiling the medico-legal formalities. Police have registered a case and initiated a probe into the incident. Separately, two persons were killed in a firing incident in the Tilli area of Sibi district on Saturday, police said.
According to the police, unknown armed men opened fire on Panhal Khan and Mohammad Akbar, killing them on the spot. Soon after the incident, the police reached the scene and ferried the bodies to the hospital.
Meanwhile, unidentified men on Saturday killed a man belonging to security forces in Turbat, police said. The deceased was working as accounts officer in a security organisation.
