Robbers’ gang busted in Nowshera
NOWSHERA: Police claimed to have arrested three members of a gang of robbers and recovered arms and looted valuables from their possession in a raid in the Azakhel area of Nowshera district on Sunday.
The gang was busted after a report with the police by one Azmat Khan, resident of Khat Killay and Feroz Khan from Amangarh that some criminals scaled the wall of their houses and deprived them of gold and cash at gunpoint, police officials said.
Acting upon the reports, they said, the police tracked the criminals who included Shakeel, Shahid and Sajid and recovered the snatched valuables from their possession. The police also recovered 84 grams of gold, which the criminals looted from a goldsmith in Peshawar.
The criminals also disclosed the names of other members of their gangs including Sifatullah, Arshad alias Toray, Waseem, Aurangzeb, Zahirullah, Malik Rizwan and others who are still at large. The DPO has announced cash prizes and commendable certificates for the police team that investigated and arrested the gang.
