Karachi: 2 TTP suspects remanded
Karachi: Two suspected militants of the banned outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were remanded into the custody of the Central Investigation Department (CID) for four days on Monday. Abdul Razzak alias Umer alias Sufyan and Rashid Iqbal alias Basit were produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate (West) Rasool Bux Mir Jutt on Monday morning under tight police security.
The judicial magistrate remanded the suspects into the CID custody till June 17. According to the prosecution, the CID police arrested the TTP suspects in Frontier Colony after a brief encounter in Orangi Town on Sunday morning and recovered two hand grenades, 20 kilograms of explosives, two TT pistols, detonating wires, electronic devices and 200 bullets from their possession.
