Rawalpindi: Benazir murder case
RAWALPINDI: A special three-member bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Wednesday reserved its judgment on the writ petition of Benazir Bhutto’s former protocol officer, seeking from the court to register a second FIR in the assassination of the Pakistan People’s Party former chairwomen.
Asad Rajput advocate, the counsel for petitioner Chaudhry Mohammad Aslam, while talking to The News said the bench did not provided them with ample opportunity to explain their version. So, they were not satisfied regarding their arguments.
The three-member bench, comprising Justice Ijaz Ahmad, Justice Sagheer and Justice Chaudhry Muhammad Tariq of LHC’s Rawalpindi Bench will announce the decision in a couple of days.
The petitioner, through his writ petition, has been seeking from the court to register a second FIR against the former and a few present government officials for their alleged involvement in the murder of former PPP leader Benazir Bhutto.
