Killer banished from Mohmand
GHALLANAI: A jirga on Sunday banished a man from Mohmand Agency for killing his cousin over a property dispute, official and tribal sources said. The sources said that one Sultan had allegedly murdered his cousin, Arshad Iqbal, a year ago. The political administration arrested him after committing the crime.
Later, a jirga, comprising Malik Hidayatullah, Malik Ajmal and Malik Abdul Khaliq, was formed to resolve the issue. The elders asked Sultan to leave his native town, Ghallanai. It was also decided that heirs of the slain person would not hurt other family members of the accused.
