Quetta: FC convoy attacked, three civilians killed
QUETTA: Three people, including two children, were killed and 33 wounded in a militant attack on law enforcement agency personnel on Saturday, security officials said. The children and one civilian were killed by a remote-control motorcycle bomb targeting security forces in the Panjgur district of Balochistan.
The target was a paramilitary convoy and five soldiers were among the injured, the officials said. The dead were identified as: Nasir Ahmed, Muhammad and Abdul Khaliq.
The injured were admitted to FC hospital. The explosion badly damaged LEA vehicle and smashed windowpanes of nearby buildings. Heavy contingent of law enforcement agency and police reached the site and cordoned off the entire area to trace the attackers.
Meanwhile, at least two people were killed in separate incidents in Khuzdar. According to police, Nadim Mosiani was on his way home when armed men opened fire, killing him on the spot. Unidentified gunmen shot dead a man and managed to escape from the scene. The victim was identified as Qadir Bakhsh Jata.
