Lahore: 2 women stabbed to death
LAHORE: At least four people, including two women and a minor, were killed in separate incidents across city. In the first incident, two women were stabbed to death by unidentified men in North Cantt police jurisdiction. The women were identified as Suraya and her daughter Munaza Aqeel, who were residents of the Altaf Colony.
According to police, Munaza supported the family by working at a beauty parlour near Jorra Bridge after her father abandoned the family some time ago. On Monday evening, the neighbours complained of a stench coming out of their house, on which the police was informed. Upon arrival, police found dead bodies of both the women, which had multiple knife wounds. Police said that investigation is under way and the phone records of the victims were being verified. They further said that the incident could be the result of a monetary dispute but the brutality of the incident points towards a personal dispute with a person who could be a family member or a regular visitor. The bodies were sent to a morgue and no case was registered till the filing of this report.
